Sustainable fabric production – this is what our concept GOING GREEN by Friedrich stands for, which we launched some time ago. For our Retex+ product line we process yarns made of recycled PET – but that was and is not enough for us.

Maintaining an intact environment and the responsible use of natural resources is so important to us that we have gone one step further.

Since December 2019, we cooperate with the certified environmental protection partner PLANT-MY-TREE®, which carries out afforestation projects for CO² compensation throughout Germany.

Last year we were able to plant a total of 546 trees in Utscheid and make an important contribution to climate protection, because: Up to 2,5 square meter of forest is planted for every roll of recycled material sold.

Our customers are increasingly relying on environmentally conscious actions and thus the demand for sustainable materials made of rPET continues to grow. Even if the pandemic is a challenge in the short term, we want to stick to our environmental goals in long term. That is why we would like to participate in a reforestation project of PLANT-MY-TREE® again this year.

A new “GOF woodland” with a total of 1,233 trees will soon be built in the southern Harz.
